Coriander Oil
The word “coriander” has been derived from the Greek word “koris,” meaning “bug.” For centuries coriander seed has been used by Romans, Egyptians and Greeks. In India the coriander seed is an important ingredient for cooking dishes. In the 17th century the seed was used for flavoring toilet water by the Carmelite order in France. Oil is steam distilled from the crushed ripe seeds of the coriandrum sativum plant. The latter, a native of Morocco, blooms pink and white flowers.
