With the changing seasons, summertime skincare also needs to be updated. We will show you two popular skincare techniques to help your skin glow and look radiant. These are the silk peel and diamond glow facials.
Health Shots interviewed Dr. Nivedita Dadu to dive into these great skincare treatments. She is a well-respected dermatologist and Founder of Dadu Medical Centre.
What is a silk-peel treatment?
Silk peel dermal infusion facials are a skin-resurfacing treatment that exfoliates dead skin cells while also applying targeted serums to treat specific skin conditions. Silk Peel is a gentle vacuum that removes the outer layer of the skin while the pores are left open simultaneously. The customized serums penetrate deeper into newly exfoliated skin. The newest skincare trend is silk peel. It extracts deep and exfoliates the skin, infuses essential serums and moisturizes. This is a one-stop solution for all skin conditions, including dry skin, rough texture and aging skin.
What is the procedure for a silk peel treatment?
The handpieces are patented and provide many benefits for silk peel dermal infusion. The suction chamber at the tip of the handpiece lifts the skin to extract it. Microdermabrasion is then performed using the exfoliating action by the diamond tip. The skin is also infused with nutrients by the suction pressure.
Dr. Dadu says that silk peel is an exfoliation process that removes skin cells from the topmost layers of the skin. These are the most sensitive and damaged. A diamond-tipped exfoliator device is used in conjunction with a vacuum-induced system to remove dead skin cells and cleanse pores.
What are the benefits of silk peeling for glowing skin?
The silk peel revitalizes and makes the skin radiant. This non-surgical procedure does not require any cuts or itching. It can be used by anyone with normal, dry or combination skin types. There are no side effects or pain. It helps to remove dead skin and hydrates the skin. The diamond tip exfoliation rejuvenates and resurfaces the skin. Infusion results are quick and last a long time. The infusion process produces smooth, full, and radiant skin that lasts for days. Previous skin concerns can be minimized, which results in glowing skin. Both a classic microdermabrasion procedure and a silk peel are the same. However, only the silk peel offers pro-infusion solutions. These solutions are infused deeply into the skin to address various skin issues.
What is a “diamond glow” treatment?
A diamond-tipped wand is used to exfoliate your skin. It also vacuums away debris and infuses the skin with a customized serum. Most people experience a silk peel or diamond glow on their neck, face, upper chest, back, or buttocks. It is safe for all skin types and is considered safe. Dr. Dadu says that sensitive areas of the skin can be treated, including the lips and around the eyes.
What precautions should you take after treatment?
The silk peel is painless, non-invasive and requires no downtime. This is a great option for anyone who wants a younger, more youthful appearance without undergoing more invasive procedures. After dermal infusion, it is common for the skin to become red. After treatment, the skin may become sensitive to exfoliation. After treatment, it is recommended that you use proper sun protection.
Silk peel instantly makes skin radiant, glowing, and fresh. Silk peel dermal infusions can hydrate the skin while infusing it with powerful vitamin C, Skin Brightening and Anti-Aging ingredients. This helps to reduce the signs of aging.
The skin problems we hate are all here in summer. One of these skin problems is chub rub or chafing. This is a common but often overlooked skin problem. It is caused by repeated friction through skin-to-skin or clothing-to-skin contact. It can cause pain, stinging, and burning sensations.
Summer heat, sweat, and frequent rubbing on the underarms and thighs can cause blisters and rashes. Chafing can feel like you have a ball of fire between the legs, but you still want to be comfortable.
Health Shots reached out to Ms. Maharukh T Rustomjee, a skin expert, to learn more about avoiding chafing.
Chafing can happen anywhere on the body, but it’s more common in these locations:
- Underarms
- Thighs
- Nipple Area
- Groin
- Shoulders
- Below breast area
These are the areas where summer skin issues can occur. It can be prevented. To prevent chafing, you need to reduce friction. Let’s look at some ways we can do this,” Rustomjee says.
Here are four ways to stop summer chafing
- Keep your skin clean and dry.
In summer, wet skin can make the problem worse. Your nether regions should be kept dry all year. A mild lotion can be applied to the areas if you suffer from excessive sweat. Wear loose clothing with rapid drying technology.
- Use an anti-chafing gel or cream.
A good anti-chafing gel or cream will protect your skin from it and prevent friction and other problems that can be caused by skin-to-skin friction and skin–cloth friction. Anti-chafing gels can be used to create an invisible barrier between the skin and clothes if you take a proactive approach.
- Be stylish
Comfortable and moisture-wicking natural fibers are best. Cotton clothes are not recommended for use during exercise or other activities. They can absorb sweat and become a breeding ground for bacteria. Compression shorts can reduce thigh chafing, like those worn by cyclists. Bra rash and frictional rashes can be avoided by wearing athletic clothing with smooth seams.
Who can get dermal fillers done?
Fillers are used to eliminating static lines. These lines are caused by sun damage. As we age, people lose fat. Fillers can also be used to replace the volume lost on the skin, lips and under the eye. Dr Telang is also a specialist in plastic surgery with a DHA/HAAD license.
Why does aging occur earlier in some than others?
Our bodies stop producing collagen and elastin as we age. Also, existing collagen starts to fall. This causes the skin to lose subcutaneous fat and stretch. You will notice signs of aging like sunken cheeks, hollow eyes, sagging skin and wrinkles. Exercising, unhealthy lifestyles and sun exposure are all factors that can increase the signs of aging. Dermal fillers can restore facial volume, rejuvenate skin, and remove lines. They are safe, non-invasive, and cost-effective.
