Traveling can be stressful, whether heading to a beautiful destination or having to fly to a conference in Nowheresville. The stress of airline travel can affect your body’s balance, and your skin is no exception. There are many factors to consider when traveling, from the climate to your carry-on restrictions.

Why Travel Skin Care is Important
You may be like many of us and have experienced breakouts, dried patches, or puffy eyes when traveling, primarily via plane. Why does the skin react in this way?
The cabin pressure is the main problem. Due to the pressurized air in an aircraft’s cabin, humidity levels are much lower (by about 20%) on an airplane than on the ground.
To compensate for the dry air, your skin may produce more oil. It can lead to breakouts, oily skin, and dry eyes.
We’ll talk about the side effects of flying.
Skin Care Tips for Traveling
You can do several things to prepare for your trip and give your skin some extra care.
Stay Hydrated
You’ve probably heard it before. It is essential when traveling and flying. Dehydration can be treated with water, which can also help to reduce excess oil production. This can lead to a buildup of oils under dehydrated skin cells. Water intake is recommended at 64 ounces daily, but you should increase this amount while traveling. If you drink coffee or alcohol before and during flights, you must consume even more. Please bring a reusable water bottle to refill at the airport filling station.
To keep your skin hydrated, spray some Rosewater Toner onto your face. This is the perfect way to revive your skin and senses after a long flight.
Use Sunscreen Regularly
How many of you have been on vacation to the beach and forgotten to apply sunscreen (and then reapply it)? Wear at least SPF 30 or higher. Remember to protect your neck, hands, and other exposed skin areas. Hats are a great idea too!
Avoid touching your face.
You’re likely to pick up germs from your hands when you travel. Avoid touching your face before washing your hands. Carry some hand sanitizer with you.
Eat Healthy Foods
When traveling, you may be tempted by food and drink. However, try to maintain a healthy diet as much as you can. You are what you consume. Too much salt, alcohol, or grease can cause puffiness, blemishes, and an unattractive complexion. Plan to ensure you eat healthy fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and farm-to-table foods. Prepare healthy snacks such as trail mix, whole fruits, and protein bars made with natural ingredients.
Skin Care Routine on the Go: What and How to Pack?
Transportation Security Administration is your biggest concern when you travel with skin care products around the globe. Many rules and regulations govern what you can and cannot bring onto airplanes. The most important law in skin care is size.
According to the TSA, here’s the exact language of the law:
You can bring up to a quart of liquids, aerosols, or gels into your carry-on and pass through the security checkpoint. The containers must be travel-sized and contain no more than 3.4 ounces per item (100 milliliters).
Cosmetics or skin care products are categorized into liquids, aerosols (aerosols), gels, creams, and pastes. However, everything must adhere to the 3.4-ounce rule if you want to travel light. It can be a problem if you have large products and must take your skincare routine.
We recommend that you fill up mini-reusable travel bottles with the products of your choice.
We’ve assembled two skincare sets: our three-piece Starter Set and five-piece Deluxe Set. The sets come in a canvas travel bag. Only our So Clean! face cleanser is more significant than 3.4 ounces, so you can take the full-sized products with you or reduce them to fit in your carry-on.
Skincare Routine: Must-Haves vs. Might Haves
It’s okay to limit your skin care products to the essentials when you are limited in space or need to minimize them. You can temporarily do without some items from your skincare line, especially if you are going on a short trip.
Face wash, eye cream, moisturizer, and sunscreen are all essentials for traveling. Travel can affect your sleep, so you’ll need eye lotion to treat your beautiful eyes.
If your trip is short, you can leave behind toner, serums, masks, and other goodies. If you can, pack your entire skincare regimen. You can either stack travel containers or pack all your skincare products into your checked baggage if you plan a long journey.
Keep up your healthy skincare routine while traveling.
You’ve probably learned some tips on traveling with less stress and more money. Who wants to have to buy new products at their final destination? Or have to deal with skin problems while trying to enjoy your vacation?
Plan ahead, drink your H20 and you will be fine (hopefully, with a healthy glow from outdoor adventures! ).
If traveling, remember that liquids, gels, and creams must be in containers weighing 3.4 ounces or smaller. They also need to fit into a quart-sized ziplock bag. If your products are too large to fit into one bag, you can pare them down by choosing the most essential: moisturizer, sunscreen, eye cream, and cleanser. You can add toner if you have some extra space. This will allow you to refresh your skin while on the road.
Check your bag if you want to keep your liquid skin care products the same size. There are no restrictions on liquids.
What skincare products should I take with me when I travel?
When traveling, the essential skin care products to bring are your cleanser, eye cream, moisturizer, and sunscreen. If you’re traveling more often, consolidate your skincare routine into a stacking travel container.
